STORAGE AND HANDLING
Care should be exercised in the handling of CYTORX. CYTORX tablets should not be opened or crushed. Store the tablets at 25˚C preferably (allowed range 15˚C-30˚C) and kept protected from the light.
FLUCYTOSINE DOSAGE
Flucytosine 500 mg tablet should be taken in the dose and duration as instructed by your healthcare practitioner. Tablets should be taken with food preferably at a fixed time. In case multiple tablets are required for each dose, they need to be taken over a period of 15 minutes in order to reduce stomach upset.
In an event of drug overdose or missed dose, inform your healthcare practitioner as soon as possible.
FLUCYTOSINE SIDE EFFECTS
Most common adverse reactions include bone marrow suppression, vomiting, diarrhea, psychosis and loss of appetite.
