SUPPLIED/STORAGE AND HANDLING
Care should be exercised in the handling of Pomalid (Pomalidomide). Pomalid 1 mg/2 mg/4 mg tablets should not be opened or crushed. Store permitted between 20-25°C (68-77°F).
POMALIDOMIDE DOSAGE
Pomalidomide should be taken orally at about the same time each day either with or without the food. Pomalid capsules should be gulped wholly with water. The capsules should not be opened, chewed or broken.
POMALIDOMIDE SIDE EFFECTS
Some most common adverse reactions include diarrhea, constipation, nausea, weakness, fatigue, anemia, upper respiratory infections, fever, shortness of breath and low white blood cell count.
A few less common side effects of Pomalidomide include numbness, dizziness, and confusion.
WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS
- Females shouldn`t use Pomalidomide with having an intention to become pregnant or while on pregnancy.
- Pomalidomide may exist in the semen of patients with Pomalid. The patient should use synthetic or latex condoms during sexual contact.
- A male patient who’s receiving Pomalid shouldn`t donate sperm.
- Pomalid may lead patient towards blood clots, contact right away if you feel symptoms such as chest pain, problems with vision and shortness of breath.
