Mechanism of Action of Acebrophylline, Acetylcysteine

Acebrophylline is involved in bronchodilation, muco-regulation, and reduces inflammation and acetylcysteine is an antioxidant which is involved in mucolytic activity. The mucoprotein is involved in the secretion of mucus and cellular debris  in  increasing its secretion in lungs. Acetylcysteine by this way decreases the viscosity of mucus and is involved in  pulmonary regulation activity.

Uses of Acebrophylline, Acetylcysteine

Acebrophylline+acetylcysteine is used to treat chronic bronchopulmonary disease, acute   bronchopulmonary disease, pulmonary complication of cystic fibrosis, bronchial asthma, COPD (Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease), asthma.
